Lynda
FInch
Lynda believes that all creation shouts God’s glory. It is from this truth that she paints to declare God’s visual word or His heart over His Church. Lynda’s goal is to have a painting create an atmosphere or a memory that touches the viewer in a way which cannot be expressed by words. It is said “A picture is worth a thousand words”. Lynda’s heart is to let the picture tell of God’s glory. Whether it’s a prophetic painting, a landscape, floral or a still-life, God is to be glorified. |

Lynda uses multiple mediums. Watercolor is her preferred media. Lynda calls herself a realist; however, she will use abstraction if it helps the composition of her artwork. One of the unique things in her artwork is the use of vibrant colors in ordinary objects.
After graduation from Texas Tech University with a BFA in Studio Art in 1977, Lynda worked as Head Staff Artist for the Casper Star Tribune and received four awards for her graphic art and cover designs. She has received numerous awards at art shows in the Denver area and was accepted into the Adirondacks National Watermedia Exhibit. She is a member of the Foothills Art Center, Colorado Watercolor Society and the Art Students League of Denver.
Lynda enjoys teaching private art lessons and workshops to children and adults. She has been teaching art for the past 26 years in Centennial, Colorado.
Lynda has two grown daughters and just recently became a grandma to Mara.
Lynda, along with her business associate, Lori Vafiades, paint during conferences and church services. It’s amazing with what is painted spontaneously at these meetings. It’s never a dull moment with this kind of creativity.
